Art for Venezuela
ABOUT
When two devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela in 2026, communities across Sarasota and Bradenton came together to help.
Collection centers opened their doors. Volunteers organized donation drives. Artists donated their work. Local businesses stepped in. What began as individual acts of kindness became a collective effort that inspired Art for Venezuela.
Rather than focusing only on tragedy, this short documentary captures the people who chose to respond. It is a story about community, compassion, and the belief that distance should never determine our willingness to help.
Produced by Why Not, the film follows the local response leading up to Art for Venezuela, a community fundraiser supporting emergency humanitarian relief through the official Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières Community Fundraiser.
